Privacy Policy

When you place an order

Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address — region, city or town, street address or landmark, and your GhanaPost digital address if you give one. Any note you add to the order, and any message you write on a gift card.

We need these to take the order, deliver it, and contact you about it. Without them there is no order.

When you pay

We never see your card number or your mobile money PIN. Payment happens on Paystack's own pages. What comes back to us is the amount, whether it succeeded, which method you used, and a reference — enough to know your order is paid, and nothing more.

When you join the mailing list

Only your email address, and where on the site you signed up. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without asking us.

When you send us a message

Whatever you put in the contact form — your name, email, and what you wrote. It's sent to us as an email so we can reply.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no passwords, and no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. There are no third-party trackers on this site, and nothing here follows you to other sites. If that ever changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves.

We set two cookies, and both are strictly functional.

• Your bag — remembers what you've added, for 30 days. It holds only which items and how many, never your name or payment details, and it is signed so it can't be edited. Prices are always read fresh from our own records, never from the cookie.
• Staff sign-in — set only when the shop's own staff sign in to manage the store. It is never set for customers.

Neither is used to profile you or build an advertising audience. Clearing them empties your bag; nothing else is affected.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. It reaches these companies only because the shop cannot run without them:

• Paystack — takes the payment. Gets your email and the amount; handles your card or mobile money details directly, so we never do
• Resend — sends your order confirmation, mailing list emails, and your message to us. Gets your email address and the contents of those emails
• Neon — stores our database, including your order
• Fly.io — runs the website itself
• Cloudinary — stores and delivers the product photographs. Holds no customer data

We may also have to disclose information where the law requires it.

Where it's stored

Our servers and database are in Europe — London and the surrounding region — so ordering from Ghana means your details are stored outside the country. Our providers are bound by their own contractual and legal obligations to protect it.

• Orders — kept as business and tax records. We can't delete a paid order, but we can remove your details from it once it is no longer needed for accounting
• Mailing list — until you unsubscribe
• Messages you send us — kept as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted
• Your bag — 30 days, in your own browser

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
• correct anything that's wrong
• delete it, where we're not required to keep it
• stop using it for marketing — instantly, via any unsubscribe link

Ask us and we'll deal with it. We don't charge for any of this. If you aren't satisfied with how we've handled it, you can complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

The whole site is served over an encrypted connection. Payment details never touch our systems. Your bag cookie is signed, so it can't be tampered with. Access to the shop's own admin is limited to the owner, protected by a hashed password, and rate-limited against guessing.

No system is perfect. If you believe your information has been exposed, tell us immediately and we will investigate.

This shop is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we'll remove them.
