Terms & Conditions

Last updated 27 September 2026.

These are the terms on which The A&E Beauty Store sells to you through this website. Placing an order means you accept them, so they're written plainly rather than defensively.

Placing an order

Adding something to your bag isn't an order, and neither is reaching the checkout page. A contract forms when we confirm your order — that is, when your payment succeeds and you receive the confirmation.

We may decline or cancel an order before then, including where an item turns out to be unavailable, where the price or description was wrong, or where we can't verify the delivery details. If we cancel an order you've already paid for, you get a full refund.

You need to be 18 or over to order.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Ghana cedis (GH₵) and include any applicable tax. Delivery is charged separately, once per order, and is shown to you before you pay — never added afterwards.

Prices can change, but the price you pay is the one shown when you check out. The amount is calculated by us from our own records at that moment, not taken from your browser, so a stale page can never charge you the wrong amount.

If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal point in the wrong place — we're not obliged to honour it. We'll tell you before doing anything, and refund you in full if you'd rather not go ahead.

Payment is taken by Paystack, and using it means accepting their terms too. We don't receive or store your card or mobile money credentials.

Availability

Stock shown on the site is live, and buying something reduces it. Very occasionally two people buy the last of something within moments of each other. If that happens after you've paid, we contact you and either refund that item or agree a replacement — we won't quietly ship something else.

The products

We describe and photograph everything as accurately as we can. Colours vary between screens, and pieces that are handmade or hand-finished vary slightly from one to the next — that isn't a fault.

Where a size or measurement is listed, treat it as approximate within normal manufacturing tolerance. The size guide is there to help you choose, and we'd rather answer a question first than handle a return after.

Gift wrapping

Gift boxes and occasion cards are charged per box, at the price shown when you order, and each box holds a stated number of items. Because they're assembled by hand, a box may not be exactly the one in the photograph if that design has run out — we'll substitute one of equal or greater value and tell you.

Your card message is copied as you write it, up to 240 characters. We won't write anything unlawful, threatening or abusive, and we'll cancel and refund an order rather than do so.

Delivery

We deliver throughout Ghana. Costs and any timings we've given are on the delivery page. Timings are estimates, not guarantees — they depend on couriers and on being able to reach you.

It's your responsibility to give a correct address and a phone number you'll answer. Where a delivery fails because we couldn't reach you or the address was wrong, a redelivery may be charged again.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, tell us as soon as you can, with a photograph.

Returns and refunds

Returns are agreed with us case by case — get in touch and we'll tell you where you stand. The full position, including what can't be returned for hygiene reasons, is on the delivery and returns page, and forms part of these terms.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

Refunds are made to the payment method you used. Once processed, how quickly it appears is a matter for your bank or mobile money provider.

Using this site

The content of this site — text, photographs, and the design itself — belongs to us and may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission.

Don't attempt to interfere with the site, extract data from it automatically, or use it to commit fraud. We may refuse service where we reasonably believe that's happening.

Our liability

We're responsible for losses you suffer as a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profit or lost opportunity.

Where we are liable in connection with an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so changes here never alter an order already made.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.

How we handle your information is set out separately in our Privacy Policy.
